Helping teens build confidence, connection, self-trust, boundaries, and resilience through experiences with horses.
Growing up comes with a lot of pressure—school, friendships, social media, body image, expectations, emotions, relationships, and trying to figure out where you fit.
Unbridled Strides is a five-week small-group series for teens ages 13–17, facilitated by a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Equine Specialist using the Eagala model.
Through ground-based experiences with horses, participants will explore:
The group is created with the experiences commonly faced by teen girls in mind, while intentionally welcoming teens who identify as girls, are exploring their gender identity, or feel that a girls-centered empowerment space would be supportive for them.
No riding. No horse experience required. No pressure to have all the right words.
These themes provide a foundation for each week, but Eagala sessions are client-led and experiential rather than scripted. The horses, participants, and what unfolds in the moment help guide the experience, allowing each session to meet the group where they are and explore what feels most meaningful or relevant that day.
